What Do We Look Like?

MISSIODEI

Who are we?
ashley30.jpgWe are a diverse group of families, couples, students, singles, children. While far from perfect, we are a church that is emerging, striving to realize our faith in a culture that has lost faith; striving to create community in an individualized and segmented society; striving to work out the implications of our faith for a hurting and broken world.

.

adam01.jpgOur ethos is not about coercing you into a connection with God or our church, but about honest conversation and dialogue concerning religion, faith, justice, our city, and our global community. If you haven’t done so yet, we want to encourage you to visit our faith community. If you have any questions or would like for us to follow-up on your interest, feel free to comment on the “Contact Us” link. We look forward to the journey ahead…

….

s-and-e.jpgWhat do we look like? We try our best to speak to culture and at the same time be faithful to our orthodoxy. So that affects the way we present ourselves. We might be regarded by some as atypical as churches come, and some would even go so far as to say we’re anti-institutional. In the end, we are creating a space for dialogue as well as worship, where parents, children, seniors, infants, students, professionals, and so on, can all feel comfortable and at the same time be challenged. In the past we have met in living rooms, galleries, campuses, sanctuaries, social halls. At the moment we find ourselves at the church parsonage and are (re)creating a worship space there.
