The journey of this church began in the summer of 2007. Pastor Wayne and Ashley Park were pregnant with their first child and looking to start a much-needed new church in Bellingham that would speak to the increasingly diverse population of Whatcom County. With a heart for our unique, local culture and a vision for the world, they began meeting with a handful of people in Wayne’s living room in June 2007. Since then the group has steadily grown to (more than) a handful of people and is now made up of young couples, parents, students, and children.

“missioDei” is Latin for the sending of God, and we are striving to exemplify that ethos in a post-church culture, through an emphasis on solid teaching, by moving our people towards acts of compassion, and by raising our children together in a Christ-centered community. We are comprised of different ethnicities, all meeting together to worship and to be a presence to our local and unique culture. We are affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant denomination and Quest Church Seattle.
